What is SQL?
SQL is a language used by several database management systems to structure, query, modify and control data. PostgreSQL, MySQL and SQL Server are DBMSs, not synonyms for SQL.
Who is SQL.tn for?
SQL.tn is for students, career changers and professionals who want to learn SQL or strengthen their data skills.
Do I need to install software?
No. You can read lessons, view solutions, take the test and use the interactive SQL environment directly in your browser.
What does free access include?
After three activities available without an account, the free Discovery space unlocks 8 lessons, 15 exercises with solutions, the level test, SQL environment and guided Sales Analysis project. The project requires a free account to save progress.
Can I learn without programming experience?
Yes. The free Why does SQL exist? micro-course starts with conflicting files before introducing tables, relationships and the first query.
Which database is used in the examples?
Examples use the syntax supported by the SQL environment and point out important differences with MySQL, SQLite or SQL Server.
Does SQL.tn ask for my company's data?
No. Examples and exercises use only fictional data created for learning.
Is the level test a certification?
No. It only provides a learning recommendation stored locally in your browser.
What does SQL Essentials unlock?
SQL Essentials unlocks 20 lessons, 44 canonical experiences, 36 training scenarios and 2 guided projects for 180 days.
Will content be available in several languages?
Yes. French, English, Italian and Spanish versions are published only when the whole public experience and its examples have been reviewed.
Is this enough to become a Data Analyst?
SQL is a core skill, but the role also requires practice, data visualisation, statistics and business understanding.
Does the site work on mobile?
Yes. Pages are designed to be readable and usable on phones, tablets and computers.
Can I create an account for free?
Yes. A free account lets you access your member space and synchronise your progress.
How do I request paid access?
Create an account, choose SQL Essentials, SQL Analyst or SQL Pro, then confirm the request. No automatic charge occurs: the selected level and access period start only after payment is verified.
Do I need an account to start?
No. Discovery, the first activities, the level test and the SQL editor are available without an account. A free account then lets you save progress and open the guided Sales Analysis project.
Do paid plans renew automatically?
No. SQL Essentials provides 180 days; SQL Analyst and SQL Pro provide 365 days after activation. There is no automatic renewal.
